Ten years ago, I decided to get off my lazy butt and pursue my own happiness. At the time, I knew that I had a lot to learn about the real world, and none of that learning was at the club scene I kept visiting. I changed gears and focused on my dreams. Quickly enough, I fell in love with a man who was willing to work with this little package called “me” and got hitched in record time. Oh and I got pregnant during our engagement. And let me tell you, I had quite the “mommy look” going on after the baby was born. I’m talking no makeup, ponytail 24/7, velour suits, and flip-flops. I lost focus on me and my marriage, and everything was about the baby. Then one day while I was out with my mom, she spoke some genius into my ears. She said, “your husband wants a hottie not a mommy.” And you know, she’s absolutely right. Now listen, I ‘m not one to do things over and over and over again. I’m a one shot woman. And I knew I wanted more babies. So, naturally I didn’t really put any effort into losing weight and slipping into my old clothes. I did manage to get back to my pre-pregnancy size after some time. But I got pregnant within a month of accomplishing that goal. Let’s fast forward, shall we?

So here I am about a year ago and a half ago with three young kids, knowing that we are done with that phase, and I’m trying to figure out how to bring my sexy back. So what did I do? I joined a local gym with child care, got my husband to train me, and “ran” with it. I hit the gym every morning about five or six days a week, sometimes twice a day to get some cardio time. I changed up my diet. I took supplements. I joined a contest. And by May, the results were phenomenal. I stunned myself. I couldn’t believe it was really possible.
